Sept mtg, better late than never!

Sept mtg got off to a late start, but we had excitement... Rev Mo and Sarah from the Episcopal diocese came to do interviews with Nancy, Jane and Dee for a documentary of our group/Critter project. I was able to share stories of Kathys contributions, since she is still grieving and didnt tbink she could talk, and some stories relayed to us by some police officers, ...even sent a couple of critters,  "wrapped", home with Mo (she can Bless them herself, and use where she needs to).

Kim was able to come and brought 8 critters and a fun "I Spy quilt" for a critter.

Karen (St Peter's secretary),  donated a box full of critters (see photos). Thank you...

We also figured out the border for our blue scrappy quilt (previous homework blocks), so I'll add it on before our next mtg in 2 weeks. Then, we'll have a size to cut for backing and batting.  The Heartstring quilt that I finished in Maine just needs a black on black print border (Mardens) which I got prepared before we left (I'll add it on before the next mtg).

Dee took home the 4 polar bear tops (with backings and batting to hopefully get done for next month). She brought one that she matched up with a grey critter that matched it perfectly!

It was great to see Kathy in person (she brought me 15 quilts/critters to finish) and to see Jill, who we had fold all the finished quilts with a great choice of critters!! We got to go thru the "questionable critters" that have been donated (vs bought) and saved those that were "snuggle-worthy"!

I might have taken more photos, but interviews were needed and work must be done to move our projects forward! Great job, ladies! We missed Maria and Donna...

Couple more from Nancy...

Critters that Jill wrapped...

Posting Kathys 15 critter quilts!
