This week I'm finally settled, back from vacation, unpacked and finished piecing my awning for my swing (I'll install it later as its supposed to rain hard tomorrow.)
We got 31 little critters Blessed at church on Sunday and two quilts.
I got a chance to get 33 little critters/quilts delivered to the Hartford (CT) police dept yesterday, but didnt get a chance to hookup with the officer in charge- he was in meetings most of the day. He did however, call me today to express his gratitude and tell me many of the officers were excited to pick out one to put in their cruisers. He even expressed an interest to come to our next mtg and thank us/see what we do! That would be great!!
We also have the last 10 to be delivered tomorrow to the fire dept that's in the town where we meet. I have one lonely little guy left, but my stay-at-home member had several quilts that i picked up to finish and one member donated more critters to the cause.... we are SO fortunate for all the support we have. Even our Reverend mentioned she has someone from the local children's hospital (oncology) who would be collecting donated items for the kids next month. They just have to be smoke-free, pet-free, dust-free, so that batch we will have to wash them and bag them right away.
