While our plan was to drop off all our children's quilt in stock to the Naugatuck police station (they had advertised on the morning news that they were taking donations to send to Turkey/Syria to help their people after the HUGE earthquake), they were overrun with donations and when I drove our quilts down there, they werent accepting anymore! It was only 2 days since it was announced. The dispatcher suggested to check out any churches/Red Cross to see if anyone else is sending supplies. So, I sat in my car in the parking lot if the police station, googled who else in CT was collecting donations and stumbled upon a Mosque in New Haven... only 25 mins away. I called to make sure someone was still actively collecting donations. They were.
Off i go... dropping off 36 quilts, since they were shipping off a shipment this evening! Three others i kept, as they werent tied (project Linus quilts). Here are the quilts we sent...
