In January, we decided to clean out our storage area at St Peters Episcopal church. Since we had our ladies who could only meet until 12-12:30 on our usual mtg date, we limited our decluttering to projects/orphans/kits/batting.
This is what our space looked like before decluttering...
We left all the batting scraps and the 2 large rolls alone. We gave any new bags of crib size/ craft size to Kathy, our "QFH" (quilter from home), as she usually can work on that size comfortably.
We organized panels with fabrics that it matched and tagged them with any plans we had for them. These were listed as "Planned Projects". Others may have fabrics that were all bought to be 'put together' in some fashion, but no plan yet. We also, took some orphans that we had no plans for and decided they needed to go to Kathy (her specialty). We got quite a bit done! We even found homes for fabrics we felt were not a good, soft quality for our quilts, as ours go to very ill people.
